As a Bible church we believe:
The Bible is God’s Revelation of Himself to man. God has revealed in His Word all that we need for life and godliness. God has provided His word as our final authority for faith and practice. God’s word reveals to us the person, plan, purpose and promises of our Almighty God. The Bible is complete and accurate in its words and the authority of its message.
Unfortunately, many today are under great pressure to dilute the clear teaching of God’s Word to accommodate the felt needs and desires of sinful men for the sake of church growth. To sugar coat or camouflage the truth will never remove the fact that Jesus Christ and his Word will always be a threat to the lifestyle of the lost and the lukewarm.
We are committed to teaching and preaching the scriptures verse by verse (expositionally). We are closely associated with many great ministries of our day; Grace Community Church pastored by John MacArthur, the Baptist Founders association and many other like-minded churches in our state. These ministries provide help and fellowship for us as we reach out beyond our local community.
Why we are here:
We are here for one purpose to exalt and obey our Lord Jesus Christ. He is to be the central theme of all our worship. Therefore, we do not put emphasis on entertainment, felt needs, or any other man-centered form of worship. We focus on exalting Christ in God-centered worship and the equipping of the saints for the work of service.
We are here to be a light to those in darkness by sharing the gospel message with those lost and dying in this world. The command of our Lord still remains the same: we must be reaching out to a lost and dying world that knows not Christ. It is our goal at Messiah Fellowship that the Lord would grace our lives that we may be known both individually and as a church, as those who care by reaching out with the Gospel.
Messiah Fellowship offers Worship services on Sunday mornings and bible study on Thursday nights. We also offer an AWANA children’s ministry that focuses on scripture memorization along with bible study time and game time. We desire to serve our community by faithfully proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to every person we meet and give hope to every soul that visits our church.
Our Goal:
We desire to reach as many people with the love of Jesus and his wonderful good news, and equip the saints to defend the faith. To achieve this goal we stand on the scriptures alone and teach the doctrine of sovereign election through God’s irresistible grace and the perseverance of the saints. This doctrine is taught from the scriptures because man is totally depraved and spiritually dead, creating the need in man for a Savior. This doctrine is balanced by teaching about man’s responsibility to obey the Gospel call and faithfully follow Jesus Christ as Lord. As the great theologian John Calvin said, "Faith alone saves, but the faith that saves is not alone." Charles Haddon Spurgeon said regarding this teaching "Although we are sure that men are not saved for the sake of their works, yet we are equally sure that no man will be saved without them." And the simple statement from a wonderful Bible teacher of our day, John MacArthur said "Faith Works!" Our faith is alive and active so our desire is to share it with confidence and hope. Messiah Fellowship is committed to leading souls to Christ and training them to serve Him.
We invite you to come and worship with us here at Messiah Fellowship. Our desire is to share the transforming news of Jesus
Christ with you and equip you to know what you believe and encourage you to share this good news with others. Thank you.
