The Albright United Methodist Church Bell Choir was one of seven choirs participating the 20 Anniversary Concert of the Ponca City Area Festival in Northern Oklahoma College at Tonkawa on March 5th 2011..

You are invited to help build a Habitat Home at 300 S. 8th on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. On "BLITZ HOUSE BUILD DAY , 25 volunteers put up all the walls in one day, Saturday,February 5th 2011. Now you are invited to phone Bobby Wilson 762-6857 if you would like to help complete the home.
Plumbing and the floor were installed in January 2011 in the 23rd Ponca City Habitat for Humanity home at 300 South 8th Street. All the wall sections were built at the Habitat for Humanity Warehouse awaiting "Blitz House Build". The roof rafters were also precut for the roof. Habitat has tools, materials and others with whom you can learn to build a house. For more information about helping to build this Habitate for Humanity home , contact Bob Wilson at 762-6857, lbwilson@cableone.net or William Brigden,(765-9611) one of our Albright United Methodist Church members who has worked on ten of the Habitat Homes. In winter, workers are usually building from 11AM-3PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. When it gets warmer, they will build from 8AM till NOON.
Habitat also accepts donations of materials and furnishings and resells them at it's RESTORE at 117 West Central. They are open Wednesday and Saturdays. To have items picked up phone 765-2974. Until the RESTORE was opened, Albright United Methodist Church's secretary answered the Habitat phone.

MOMS NEED MOPS
Are you a mother of a child from 0 to Kindergarten? If so, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) may be just what you are looking for. We are a Christian group of women who gather together twice a month for support, fun and fellowship. Loving childcare is provided so come and join us! Mothers of young children need all the support we can get. If you are available the second or fourth Monday morning of the month and would like to offer your support. We are looking for caregivers for our children during our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) meetings. A few hours of your time will make a big difference. On the Tract Rack you will find pamphlets and information about how you are supporting Missions and can become more involved in a variety of mission projects. Albright Bell Choir was one of the 7 bell choirs who took part in the 20th Anniversary Concert of the Ponca City Area Handbell Festival in Northern Oklahoma College at Tonkawa on Saturday Marth 5th.

Winners in this years Dessert-Stew-Chili Cookoff held by our Youth on Sunday noon, January 30th, were Dessert(brownies)=Kay Miller, Stew=Bob Kneble, and Chili=Debi Topper. We thank all who brought their good food and praise the Lord for a great dinner.

Katie Schulz took on the project of revamping the Albright UMC Youth Room. The new room is decore is beautiful and functiona. Katie did fund raising and recruited many helpers. It also wins Katie a Girls Scout badge. Thanks to all who helped.
