BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Birth Place:  The Northern Penninsula of Michigan

Marital Status:  Married  (Wife’s name is Cher)

Ministry Name:  Russ and Cher Schallock Ministries (AMERICAN PATHWAYS)

PURPOSE:  To reach the lost through the presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   To encourage Christian growth in the family of God through Evangelistic Ministry, Illustrated Sermon, Music, Drama, and Classic Storytelling.   To promote love and unity in the body of Christ.  To pray and seek God for wisdom and spiritual guidance in all aspects of life.

 RUSS AND CHER SCHALLOCK MINISTRIES (Evangelistic Outreach)

Russ and Cher have traveled across the country ministering to congregations in most major Christian denominations.  Whether they share an annointed message in song, a hilarious yet powerfully serious sermon, or Holy Spirit led teaching from the pulpits of America, God has moved on the hearts of the people.  Many have received Jesus Christ as Savior while others have found new growth, victory, and renewed faith in Jesus Christ.  Fear, Depression, Anger, Unforgiveness, and the breaking of Spiritual Bondage will be addressed and placed under the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Ministry of AMERICAN PATHWAYS (Drama and Storytelling  portion)

Along with the many facets of Christian ministry at  work in my life, a new interest began to emerge while working with youth groups in the early 1980’s.  The art of Storytelling began to birth a growing spiritual excitement in my heart.  I began to realize that there is tremendous power in “story” when relating biblical truths in the lives of a wide variety of people.   This aspect of the AMERICAN PATHWAY portion of our ministry has grown to encompass numerous stories filled with characters from many different time periods in history.  

It has become alarmingly apparent that much of the television and radio programming of today has distorted the truth about the Christian faith of our ancestors.  It is often depicted in such a way, that for many, it is becoming more and more difficult to believe that our nation was really founded on Godly principals.  My growing concern would prove to be the beginning of what has drawn me into many storytelling settings while ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   

The ministry of AMERICAN PATHWAYS offers a vast amount of stories,  authentic costumes, and historical dramatization. Whether ministering from a church pulpit in the business attire of today or dressed as one of our many ancestors, the art of storytelling consistently finds it’s way into the many messages presented through this ministry.

Series of  Spiritual Events/Growth from 1965 to Present:  

§ Raised in a Lutheran Denomination.

§ Spent three years in (Non Christian Cult) Mormonism from 1965 to 1968

§ Received Jesus Christ as Savior in January of 1974.  

§ Major Doctrinal studies prepared me for ministry to Non Christian Cults. 

§ Ministry/teaching in multi denominational settings. (Kingdom of the Cults Series) 

§ Children’s ministry at a statewide level (Illinois) (Oregon) Assembly of God

§ Russ and Cher Schallock Ministries.  AMERICAN PATHWAYS Evangelistic Outreach  

§  Ministry to men’s retreat groups, special dinner theater, and community outreach programs.

§ Active in Prison Ministry since 1999.
