Coming Events  

  • Join us for our Spiritual Renewal Services November 7 & 8 with Pastor Todd Wenger as our speaker. The theme for our services is "The Kingdom of God is at Hand!" The Saturday evening sermon will focus on "How Great is Our God!" On Sunday morning the sermon will focus on "WDJD - Jesus Prayed and Taught!" Sunday evening's sermon will focus on "WDJD - Jesus Did What the Father Did!"  Todd is a son of the Mechanic Grove congregation. He currently lives in Lancaster with his wife Lora and daughters Anna and Naomi. Todd served as pastor of the Mexico Church of the Brethren in Indiana for six years. Todd and his family attend the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. He is exploring ways to effectively reach the lost for Christ and is encouraging other believers to do the same.
  • The Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren's Classical Concert Series for 2009-2010 begins with a free organ concert with Dr. Shell Moorman-Stahlman, Professor of Music at Lebanon Valley College on Sunday, November 8 at 2:30 pm at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren.   • Promise Players will present How to Make the Mrs. Happy November 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 7:30 pm - November 8 & 15 at 2:30 pm at Lampeter COB. Suggested donation is $7 children under 12 are free. Call 464.2050 to reserve your seat. Proceeds benefit Mennonite and Brethren Marriage Encounter.
  • "Caring Hands" (formerly "Knit for Kids") small group will meet on Wednesday, November 11 at 1 pm in the Gathering Area.  The dedication of our fall shipment of sweaters will be Sunday, November 22 at the 8:15 service.  Please bring all finished sweaters to the next gathering.  Questions contact Carol Trimble.
  • The National Youth Conference Meeting scheduled for November 15 will be held immediately following the second service downstairs in the Catacombs.  If unable to attend, but would like more information, please contact Adam Ulm or one of our Senior High Advisors.
  • Fall cleanup at the church is scheduled for November 21 at 8:00 am.
  • Chiques Open House & Building Dedication Service Sunday, November 15. Stop by the Chiques Church of the Brethren for a few minutes to tour and refreshments or come for the afternoon and stay for the evening. The Open House is from 3-6 pm, followed by the Dedication Service at 6:30 in the new Family Life Center. Please join us for our celebration.
  • ANE Dates for Chalmette, LA in 2009: 9 people are needed for December 6-12. List of dates for 2010 are on the witness table at the front door. Any questions, contact Ben Wenger.
