| Women's Fellowship | All women, young and old are welcome to join us. We are involved in many projects throughout the year and oversee the kitchen and the dining room for banquets/dinners. Our meetings/programs are usually the third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. |
Men's Work | The men are actively involved in local projects and outreach at the District and National levels as well. They meet the third Monday of the first month of each quarter at 8 pm. All men young and old are welcome! |
Junior High Youth | This group is for students in Sixth to Eighth grade. Adult advisors plan their service projects and other activities. They meet for CHAOS on the first and third Sunday evenings of each month in the Fellowship Hall. They are led by the advisors and take part in small and large group activities. There are also special social/fun times which include district activities. The junior highers have the opportunity to go on work camps that are planned by the denomination. Junior High Sunday is always the first Sunday in November and the youth and the advisors plan the Sunday morning services. |
Senior High Youth | All our students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to become involved in our youth group led by lay advisors and overseen by our Director of Youth & Young Adults. RAP, a time of devotional study, group learning, announcements and games is held the first and third Sunday evenings of the month. Bowling, road rallies, pizza parties and skiing are just some of the monthly fun activites. Service projects have included trips to New York City, DC soup kitchen, work camps, meals and working with local community needs. Fund raisers are held regularly to raise money for our National Youth Conference which is held every four years. Weekend retreats with speakers, workshops, worship and recreation help provide spiritual growth and fellowhsip. Our youth plan and present an entire worship service on "Youth Sunday". Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren is encouraged by the faith, talent and abilities shared by our youth. |
