Our Minister - Rev. Robert Jackson

Rev. Jackson's most recent ministry experience was as Preaching Minister at Bellevue Christian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. His ministry there spanned 23 - 1/2 years, ending in January 2004. After leaving that position, he spent three months in Doha, Qatar in the Middle East, a Muslim nation where his wife Edna's job sent her to work as part of a set-up of a new campus for Carnegie Mellon University, continued work on his dissertation to complete his degree in systematic theology from Duquesne University, and helped with a new church plant in Cranberry, PA.
Rev. Jackson received his Bachelor of Arts from Lincoln Christian College, and Master's degrees from Lincoln Christian Seminary. He is in the final stages of his study for the aforementioned Ph.D. from Duquesne.
Rev. Jackson describes his ministry as "to equip members of the congregation to discover their areas of service in the kingdom of God, for the church and in the world. I do this through a series of "seminars" that enable the congregation to grow in their faith, learn the shape that God has made given to them, train them for service and give members the privilege of creating new ways to servce the Lord, the body of Christ and the world."
Rev. Jackson has celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary to his wife Edna in 2005. She is the Assistant to and Manager of the Provost's Office at Carnegie Mellon University. They have three adult children, Libby, Ryan, and Andy.
We offer our prayers for a successful ministry for Rev. Jackson and for Brightwood Christian Church.
