Welcome to the online home of the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene. Mountain View was begun in November of 2005 to establish a Church of the Nazarene presence in the Wyoming Valley. In September of 2008 Pastor Scott took over the leadership of Mountain View with the departure of founding pastor Dick Devendorf.

Mountain View is not your typical church. Since we rent space in an office building our current worship space, while well kept, is anything but elaborate. We're also not big on formality in worship so you won't see us dressed in robes or using a lot of written liturgy. We even offer a break before the sermon for everyone to freshen up their coffee or grab a soda from the fridge.  Our goal at Mountain View is to simply be like Jesus who welcomed people from all walks of life.  We want everyone to feel comfortable when they come to church and don't expect you to dress or act a certain way.  The one thing we do hope you will notice about Mountain View is the friendliness of the people. We want everyone to feel welcomed and at home when they worship with us.

If you'd like to know more about our church please give send us an email here or better yet come join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM for worship (no appointment is necessary and everyone is welcome). Our ministry center is located at 1150 Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming, PA in the back of the Milestones Developmental Center (and across from Bo Brothers).  Feel free to stop by anytime during the week but just make sure you give us a call first as Pastor Scott tries to be out in the community meeting people more than he is sitting in the office. Who knows maybe you'll bump into him at Dunkin Donuts and if you do the coffee's on him (and you can tell him we said so!)
