I need to add a place keeper into the page because to next block is getting shmushed into the images instead of underlinning the section as desired

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Crocodile Dock Vacation Bible School was held this year at St. Christopher's August 10-14, each evening from 6:30-8:30.

With 36 children registered, we had an average of 34 children each night.  Sometimes hard to tell who has the most fun at VBS, the children or the adult helpers!  We learned about the bayou and how God is ALWAYS with us, caring, protecting, listening, loving.  We learned how to watch for "God sightings" in our lives as we looked for everything good God does for us.

We also managed to collect nearly $200 (our church Outreach Committee helped a little) for The Four Diamonds Club at Hershey Medical Center.  This organization helps pediatric cancer patients and their families and is located on the Hershey Medical Center's campus.  We also created 80 huggable stuffed turtles to be distributed through Child Life at Hershey Medical Center and DuPont Hospital for Children.  Each little turtle had a pocket into which we put a special card for each child.  The children also collected 30 coloring books to donate to Hershey for the children.

None of this would have been possible without the help of many people in our church, from the teachers (Miss Shelby, Miss Monica, Mrs. Curran, Mrs. Lehr, Mrs. Jenkins, Mrs. Hershour, Miss Jenn and Mrs. Slaughter) to the games (David Jenkins, Paul Tickle, Tim and Anna Gould and Ellen Vild) to the snacks (Reba Webb, Michelle Jacobson and Dennis Miller) to the crafts (Bethany Borrelli, Becki Pine, Ann Miller, Ellie Gould and Pastor Barbara) to the music (Beth Tickle, Erin McShane and Mary Clark) and to our special helpers Alli Graber, William Zawisa, our loveable "Skeeter" Dottie Baker and to Joan Simmers for her help on registration night.  A special thanks also goes to all those who helped set up, decorate and clean up after and to the ladies who provided dinners for our workers each night (Sue Lopez, Leona Stefanco, Becki Pine and Ann Miller).  We appreciate everyone who helped and are already looking forward to 2010!

GOD IS WITH US,

GOD IS POWERFUL,

GOD DOES WHAT HE SAYS HE'LL DO,

 GOD GIVES US LIFE, and

 GOD CARES FOR US.
