Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Developing Devoted Disciples

The Prince of Peace Christian Preschool program provides a blend of secular and spiritual training, all in an atmosphere of Christian love. Our goal as a Christian preshool is to help each child develop Christian habits, such as forgiveness, getting along with others, learning to play as a group, assuming small responsibilites, and generally making a more pleasant transition from home to school.

Prince of Peace Preschool began in 1976 and continues to serve the community by providing a Christ centered education for three and four year olds. The school is regulated by the Eastern District of the Missouri Synod and is associated with P.A.L.S. (Pittsburgh Area Lutheran Schools).

We are now accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 school year!

Three year old program

The children strive to achieve recognition of colors and shapes, mastering the use of scissors, paste, coloring and paints, name recognition, and singing.

Four year old program

The children practice pencil writing, letter and number writing, printing their names in upper and lower cases, learning their telephone number, address and concept words, and singing.

What makes Prince of Peace Preschool unique is that like other preschools, we will teach the children colors, shapes, how to write their names, etc. but we go a step further to help each child develop Christian habits, such as; forgiveness, getting along with others, learning to play as a small group, assuming small responsibilities and generally making a more pleasant transition from home to school.

We provide a morning and afternoon class for four year olds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The morning class begins at 9:00 am and finishes at 11:30 am. Our afternoon class begins at 12:00 pm and finishes at 2:30 pm.

We provide morning and afternoon classes for three year olds on Tuesday and Thursday. The class times are the same as the four year old classes.
