Mary Nitzsche began serving as Pastor with responsibility for Pastoral Care and Spiritual Formation at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church on May 1, 2008.  She and her husband, Wayne, are Midwest natives. They have two young adult daughters, Alison and Megan.

Mary is a graduate of Hesston and Goshen Colleges and taught elementary school for three years.  She received her Masters of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio.  For the past twelve years, Mary served as a regional pastor in Ohio Conference of Mennonite Church USA.  She brings experience resourcing pastors and congregations facing transition, review, and conflict.  Additionally, Mary has companioned pastors and spouses through a variety of crisis situations and has served as a spiritual mentor for women of all ages.  Mary’s mission is to companion persons on their journey with Jesus pointing them towards the transforming power of the Spirit.
