PARISH NEWS AND NOTES

MISSION TRIP: The group planning to go on the mission trip to the Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico June 7th - 14th, 2008, has begun its fund rasing efforts, including:

• Spaghetti Dinner - May 8th
• Jewlery Raffle: These fine crafted silver pieces, a men's watch, and a women's bracelet, were made and signed by Ellis Jefferson. Tickets available from any Mission Team member now.
• YARD SALE: May 3rd at the Concord Church.

The group will work at the school, and at a surrounding soup kitchen, and homeless shelter. The members of the group will stay in the dormitories at Menaul during their stay. The cost will be approximately $550.00 per person, which includes airfare, meals, and supplies.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Anyone interested in helping with this year's Vacation Bible School is invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Concord Christian Education Building. Station Leaders, crew leaders and helpers are needed. Come and find out how to get "Powered Up!"

NORTH WASHINGTON NOTES

HOMECOMING SUNDAY: May 4th will be Homecoming Sunday at North Washington Church. Fifty year members will be honored. A luncheon will follow the morning worship service at noon in the church social room. Those attending are asked to bring a dessert to share. The rest of the meal will be provided.

As we continue to refurbish and renovate the church building we need your financial help. Plans are underway to replace the rear entrance door, install a new hot water heater for the kitchen and fix the leak in the lower entranceway to the basement. Just mark your gift for the Building Fund and thank you for your support.
