(Print child's name) has my permission to attend Vacation Bible School sponsored by the Christian Churches of the Lower Valley at Cheswick United Presbyterian Church. I am aware of the schedule for the week and the kind of activities in which my child may engage. I have instructed my child on safety procedures and good manners. My child is also aware that the rules set forth by the Vacation Bible School leaders and Cheswick United Presbyterian Church, Springdale United Presbyterian Church, and Springdale Methodist Church must be followed.

INDEMNIFICATION

As consideration for the ecumenical program's agreement to allow my child to participate in the above activity, and intending to be legally bound hereby, I (we) agree to indemnify all participating churches, the individual group leaders, their claims, demands; and actions at law bring equity that may hereafter at any time be brought by ourselves, our child or anyone on his/her behalf: for the purpose of enforcing a claim for damages because of injury (including death). .

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

In the event Or injury or illness of my child during participation in the above listed activity, I (we) hereafter give our permission for the necessary medical treatment to be given to my (our) child if we are unable to be contacted for consent of such treatment. I (we) agree that in case of injury to my (our) child, I (we) will apply our hospitalization and/or accident insurance toward payment of the expenses incurred and will not look to the sponsoring organizations and the individual leaders of Vacation Bible School for the payment of medical costs or injury related costs.

Dear Parent

Welcome to another year with Lower Valley VBS! We are excited this year to bring you David C. Cook's COSMIC CITY: Explore the Awesome Wonder of God!

Our session runs Monday, July 14^th through July 18^th beginning at 6:30 P.M and ending with a closing that starts about 8:15 and ends at 8:30 P.M.. After the closing we will not let child leave without a parent or adult to claim them. This is done for safety reasons and there will be NO exceptions, so please make sure there is someone there to meet your child every night

Parents are welcome to stay with us. We can always use some extra hands in many areas. Parents with children in the lapsit program (three or under or still in diapers) are reminded that they need to have someone stay with their child during their time with us to ensure their safety and security.

Each year we have an offering of nonperishable food items to benefit our local food bank as well as a money offering that goes to a charity selected by the VBS Committee. We will again have a "race" between the boys and the girls to see who can raise the most money during the week!

Each year we make a T-shirt as the craft on Wednesday to help them remember the fun they have at VBS all week! Please send a plain white or light-colored shirt with your child's first and last name and last grade completed written in a permanent marker on the label or collar only by MONDAY and make sure they wear clothes they can paint in on Wednesday.

We will be closing our VBS this year with a worship service on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Please make plans to join us no matter what church in the area you attend. We want to come together as a community and celebrate our unity as we worship together showing our community members what our kids have been doing all week. We have a special bonus for every family whose children attended VBS that come to our worship service, you will receive a FREE CD of the VBS music! You are also invited to stay after worship for a pig roast!!!!

Thank you all for your support by PRE-REGISTERING and sending your children, they all have a wonderful time and it is an indescribable experience to see the Word of God reaching so many precious hearts.
