Parent Letter
July 13th - July 17th

Dear Parent
Welcome to another year with Lower Valley VBS! We are excited this year to bring you Group's Crocodile Dock-Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light.
Our session runs Monday, July 13th through July 17th beginning at 6:30 P.M and ending with a closing that starts about 8:15 and ends at 8:30 P.M.. After the closing we will not let child leave without a parent or adult to claim them. This is done for safety reasons and there will be NO exceptions, so please make sure there is someone there to meet your child every night
Parents are welcome to stay with us. We can always use some extra hands in many areas. Parents with children in the lapsit program (three or under or still in diapers) are reminded that they need to have someone stay with their child during their time with us to ensure their safety and security.
Each year we have an offering of nonperishable food items to benefit our local food bank as well as a money offering that goes to a charity selected by the VBS Committee. We will again have a "race" between the boys and the girls to see who can raise the most money during the week!
On Monday, July 13, the first night of VBS, please have your child bring a plain white or light-colored shirt with your child’s first and last name and last grade completed written in a permanent marker on the label or inside collar. On Wednesday night we will be painting a t-shirt as the craft to help the children remember the fun they had all week at VBS! Please be sure your child wears appropriate “painting” clothes that night
We will be closing our VBS this year with a worship service on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Please make plans to join us no matter what church in the area you attend. We want to come together as a community and celebrate our unity as we worship together showing our community members what our kids have been doing all week. We have a special bonus for every family whose children attended VBS that come to our worship service, you will receive a FREE CD of the VBS music! You are also invited to stay after worship for a pig roast!!!!
Thank you all for your support by PRE-REGISTERING and sending your children, they all have a wonderful time and it is an indescribable experience to see the Word of God reaching so many precious hearts.
