SING MESSIAH -- We begin Advent with this event, Sunday November 29th at Handel’s Messiah sung by four soloists with orchestral accompaniment, but the chorus will come from you, the public. Who Are We?
What Are You Seeking?
First Presbyterian Church, an historical congregation founded in 1814, draws upon its rich traditions while seeking to adapt to the times in which we live. We offer the benefits of children's, youth and adult ministries, worship services with a touch of both the traditional and contemporary, excellent music ministries, prayer and healing ministries, and a growing commitment to missions both at home, nationally and internationally.
We realize that everybody who visits a church is looking for something different. Some seek to explore Christian faith in a gracious environment. Others seek healing from hurt, or ministry to their family. Some look for a particular style of teaching, music or worship. We believe that God has a place for you somewhere, even if this is not the church for you. In the meantime, we hope you experience something of the presence and love of Jesus Christ at First Pres, not just in our service and classes, but from us as well.
