We seek to build men and women in the Christian faith in order that we might be salt and light in our world today.
SPRING ADULT EDUCATION
A TASTE OF ALPHA
March 30 - June 29, 10:45 am
Have you ever wondered what the purpose of your life is? Do you come to church but still have questions about the foundational elements of the Christian faith? Do you have a desire in your heart to reach those who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord? Then this is the class for you! Maybe you have heard of, or attended, the Alpha Course in the past at FPC or elsewhere. Maybe this is the first time you have ever heard of the Alpha Course and you are curious. In "A Taste of Alpha" you will have the opportunity to experience the Alpha Course in an abbreviated format and explore questions that maybe you have felt uncomfortable asking in other settings. In this class we will watch a 20-25 minute video then discuss the implications for our everyday lives. Come and join us as we learn and strengthen the foundation of our faith. Leader: Jacki Tase
SCRIPTURE AS NARRATIVE
April 27 - May 11, 10:45 am
Why is this class important? The single most common form of literature in the Bible is narrative. Come learn how to read Biblical narratives well! The course will touch upon the study of knowledge, the study of words and their historical development, how story affects and is used to shape humanity, and the role of story in the lives of upcoming generations in America. Leader: Guy Ridge.
Newcomers Class
