Jesus is Able!
Our desire is to minister to you in
and through the love of Jesus Christ.

Prayer & Healing Ministry - The Prayer and Healing Team is made up of individuals from within the church, who have had a sense of God calling them into concerted and directed prayer for the needs that are presented to them.

Our Calling: Our ministry practices five distinct values:

  • This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit

  • Our ministry is under the authority of the Scriptures

  • We respect the dignity of the individual and their confidentiality

  • We seek to be harmonious on the team, and with every person.

  • We believe the Body of Christ is God's plan for long-term healing and spiritual growth. We therefore encourage those we who contact us to be involved in a local congregation, be that FPC or another local fellowship.

What to expect: When praying for individuals, we come with the attitude of servants, and with reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. We will ask you what it is you are burdened or concerned about. After hearing your need, we will ask some or all of the following questions:

  1. Would you like to move to a more private area to pray?

  2. Would you like us to lay hands on you?

  3. Would you like to be anointed with oil?

  4. Would you like to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?

  5. Would you like prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God?

How to contact us:

  • We are available every Sunday in the front of the Sanctuary after worship to pray with you, either there or in the Prayer Room. All our team members wear nametags which have a purple ribbon attached. We will pray about whatever concerns you may have.

  • We receive written requests or those received by e-mail sent from the Prayer Request page. You can use the prayer request pads found in any pew, and drop it in the offering plate. We will pray daily for each request for two weeks.

  • We are available for the laying on of hands and anointing with oil, as commanded in James 5:14-15. This can be done at the church, in your home, or in the hospital, whichever you desire.

"So He came to Nazareth where He had been brought up, and He entered the synagogue, as was His custom on the Sabbath day. And He stood up to read. And there was handed to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened the book and found the place where it was written: 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to preach the Good News to the poor; He sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed and broken down by calamity. To proclaim the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.' The He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing at Him. And He began to speak to them saying: 'Today this scripture has been fulfilled while you are present and hearing!'
Luke 4:16-21 (The Amplified Bible)
