STUDENT IMPACT meets every Sunday morning at 10:15, immediately following worship. Student Impact has a simple mission statement: Win, Build, Send. Our mission is to win students to Christ, build or equip students to share their faith, and then send students out to do ministry.
Some of the yearly activities of Student Impact are: small group studies, mentoring relationships, fall, winter, & spring retreats, local service projects, Creation Festival, confirmation classes, day trips, special girls nights, and summer mission projects.
WHAT'S COMING UP?
GIRLS SMALL GROUP "Seekers" for 5th - 8th grade is taking a break while the Confirmation class is in session. Contact Nancy Scheipe or Brit Schlaybach for details.
PASTA & POPS is Sunday March 18 @ FPC. Youth Impact will be preparing a delicious pasta dinner for the congregation, followed by a musical celebration presented by our music ministry at FPC. We start cooking at 10:30 AM. All proceeds from the dinner and auction benefit the summer mission project to Puerto Rico.
Winter Retreat 2012 is February 17-19 at Tel Hai Camp. Our retreat speaker is Will Ogle. The theme of the retreat is "The Character of God". The cost is $50, payable now. Friends are invited to join us. You'll get a $10 discount for each friend you bring with you from outside of the youth group.
SUMMER 2012 MISSION TRIP TO Puerto Rico is July 21-27. We are partnering with Praying Pelican Missions (www.prayingpelicanmissions.org). Cost is $595 plus airfare. Your $50 deposit is due by February 5, 2012. This trip is open to anyone in 9th grade and up through college. Contact Tim Sanger immediately if you are interested in going along this summer.
CREATION FESTIVAL 2012 is June 26-July 1 in Mount Union PA. I need your $50 deposit ASAP. The early bird cost is $95 if you sign up by April 15th. Speakers and Musicians include Louie Giglio, Reggie Dabbs, Duffy Robbins, Brian "Head" Welch, Toby Mac, Red, Tenth Avenue North, Christ Tomlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Switchfoot, Family Force 5.
