ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING: All are invited to attend the annual congregational meeting scheduled for Sunday, May 20th, immediately following worship. It will be a brief meeting and will take place in the sanctuary. Please plan to come to this important meeting in which all the ministry teams and boards present an accounting of their stewardship in 2011.
PENTECOST COMMUNION 50 Days after Easter, the Christian Church observes Pentecost, the birthday of the church. We will celebrate Pentecost with the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper at worship on Sunday, May 27th, 11:00 am. All are welcome to join us.
APPLEBEES FLAPJACK FUNDRAISER Please join us on Saturday, June 2nd from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at the Applebees in Folsom for a Flapjack Fundraiser. We are selling tickets to this event in advance but you may also buy tickets at the door. The cost is $7.00 per adult and $4.50 per child (10 & under). Breakfast includes 3 pancakes, 2 pieces of sausage and unlimited beverages including coffee, orange juice, soda and tea. All proceeds benefit Holmes Church community outreach programs. SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE Our Summer Worship and Sunday School schedule begins on Sunday June 3rd, 2012 and will continue through Labor Day Sunday, September 2, 2012. Worship begins at 10:00 AM instead of 11:00 AM. There are only two Sunday School Classes: one for Nursery-Kindergarten children and the other for Primary-Junior aged children. All children (except those in the Crib Room) sit with either their parents or their teachers in the front of the Sanctuary. Early in worship they will be excused to Sunday School.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Mark your calendars! Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2012 will be held from July 16th - July 20th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Our theme this year is: SKY: Everything is possible with God! Children can look forward to great bible stories, music, missions, arts and crafts, and more. VBS is for all children ages 5 thru the 6th grade. There is no charge but donations to offset expenses are appreciated.
