Helper’s Guild Meeting

Eight members of the Helper’s Guild met at the church on Saturday, October 17, at 12 noon. Connie opened the meeting with prayer. Program was led by Mary Zelmore. She read Psalm 61 and a poem. Janet sent cards to the Polk residents. Connie will do the Christmas shopping for them. There was discussion on the repair or replacement of the annex bulletin board that Linda Eicher decorates. Linda thinks all that is needed is for the cork to be replaced. Bill Petrakis will be contacted to see if he can repair it. There was discussion about the items at the Youngwood Church which may be available for our church to use. A meeting will be scheduled to discuss the items. Ladies who attend the Guild Christmas Party will be given their choice of two meat dishes, pork chops or chicken. The party is Friday, December 4, at 6PM at the church annex, catered by Ligonier Catering. The cost will be $13 per person. We will continue the Christmas Card Exchange post office in the annex. The post office will be set up after the Guild Christmas Dinner on December 4th. Election of officers for 2010 was held. Janet Reid is the new president, Connie Fligger, Vice-President, Diane Finley, Secretary-Treasurer, and Mary Zelmore, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer. Connie will purchase a new flower calendar for the annex. Our thanks to the hostesses, Margaret Petrakis and Thelma Andrews.
