MISSION CIRCLE

The Mission Circle will meet at 2:00PM on the 2nd Saturday of January, March, June, September and November in 2009.  Everyone is welcome!

The next meeting of the Mission Circle will be Saturday, November 14 at 2:00 PM.

At the September meeting, the Mission Circle two more thank you's for mission work done by those who attended the one week Bible School program this summer.   The Bible School program was led by circle and was blessed by help and support from the members of the church.

Welcome Home, a family shelter in Greensburg, sent a thank you for the items that were donated. One evening during that week, a speaker from Welcome Home visited and talked about their mission, the number and needs of the homeless in our very own county.  What an eye opener for all those attending and helping with Bible School.

Children’s Hospital also sent a thank you in care of Arts and Craft leader Jude Marinchak, for the get well cards that were made by the children at Bible School.   The cards were sent to the hospital and given to patients to help them with their social and emotional needs.

Many times this past summer, the adults and older youth who helped with Bible School talked about how we were blessed by the mission work done by the Bible School children. They may have been small and very little but each one of them provided their caring message to the community.

The Mission Circle is purchasing Fair Trade coffee to use during our Sunday morning coffee hour on a trial basis. A signup sheet will be available if anyone wishes to purchase any of the coffees. More information will be available soon. Purchasing Fair Trade coffee is a way of helping farmers in Latin America, Africa and Asia earn a fairer share of income, thus helping them to build a better future for themselves and their communities. The next meeting will be Saturday, March 14th at 2:00 PM at the church. Everyone is invited!
