New Harmony Mission Statement

New Harmony Presbyterian Church is a member of The Presbyterian Church (USA). We believe that our mission is to "Be the arms of God for our community." We seek to nurture and strengthen the faith and commitment of our members, and to spread the good news of God's love and forgiveness to our community and the world around us. We are committed to living our faith and teaching by example. We believe that God has given each one of us gifts to be used for the building up of His church and for the "common good." We pray for each other and care for each other. We enjoy worshipping together to glorify God with our praise and with our response of service in the mission of His church. We affirm the following beliefs and values:

• We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ  
• We believe that the Bible is God's Word to us and is our authoritative standard   
• We believe in the power of prayer   
• We believe in Bible centered preaching and teaching   
• We value people because they are valued by God   
• We value a supportive church-family atmosphere   
• We value Sunday School and Christian education for all ages   
• We value strong Mission involvement   
• We value our children and youth and our times of fellowship   
• We value our tradition of being a "welcoming" church
