THANK YOU – CHOIR & MUSICIANS The Worship Committee would like to extend special thanks to our Organist, Pianist, Choir Director and Chancel Choir for their ministry of music during our Advent Season and for the outstanding Christmas Cantata. Your talents and efforts are a blessing. TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY Do you or someone you know need transportation to worship on Sunday morning or any other special events at the church? Please let the church office no later than Thursday noon. We have a team of drivers that are willing to pick up and drop off on a rotating basis. You will receive a confirmation call from a driver to establish pick-up and drop-off details.
JOIN THE CHOIR Anyone who enjoys singing and praising God is welcome to join the PRPC Choir. Exciting opportunities are around the corner with our upcoming Lenten season. Choir practices will be held on Wednesdays or Thursdays starting at 7:00PM. The Director of Music (Bobby Wills) will communicate practice schedules, so contact him with any questions.
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING On February 5 our youth will be stationed at the door of the sanctuary with large soup bowls for donations to help the hungry. Share your caring spirit with thousands of others by dropping $1 in the soup pot that day. Every $1 dropped in the soup pot helps people in need feel the power of God’s love. Since becoming a national event in 1990, the Souper Bowl of Caring has generated over $ 81 million to help hungry and hurting people. Now that’s something to cheer about! That’s souper spirit. Catch the Spirit!
CONSECRATION SUNDAY NEWS The Stewardship and Mission Committee, along with the Session, is grateful to God for the results from our 2011 Consecration Sunday. A total of 57 giving units (husbands and wives or single persons) completed Estimate of Giving Cards so far this year. As of November 30, 2011 the 57 giving units committed a total of $ 102,514 for 2012 (our budget for 2012 is $114,469). If you have not returned your Estimate of Giving Card, it’s not too late. We want to thank you for your commitment to Christ and His Church.
