Sweet Fridays are just that, sweet fellowship, sweet food, sweet conversation.. A time of some very sweet fellowship in the homes of our ladies. The upcoming meetings begin again in June.
Sweet Friday is creative evangelism that "reaches out to women one sweet invitation at a time for Christ." Women laugh a lot, learn from each other and leave with a simple introduction to Jesus Christ. Sweet Friday is also a homegrown, tiny tool that God is using in a BIG way to connect women to each other and Himself.
We serve one simple dessert full of fat, decaf coffee and tea, a dose of inspiration from God's word and candy for the women to share or eat on the ride home or whatever the hostess wants to provide.
One thing I've learned is that God's truth and laughter can mix. Yes... fun and faithfulness go together! It's a wonderful, practical way for women to remember Biblical truths.

“Oh, how He loves us” sings in our hearts this year. The ladies in our ministry fellowship know this and have expressed it so strongly through their lives and during their trials and hardships this year. Even on the brink of this coming year, 2010, they willingly represent the love of Christ. A hug, a sweet word, a heartfelt prayer can be found anytime in this body of believers, and anywhere. We find them at Tender Talks meetings, on a Sweet Friday Home Fellowship, at the soup kitchen, and the lobby of our church on a Sunday morning. These special ladies hold Christ in their hearts and are so willing to share Him with those who need a touch, a hope or a little Godly wisdom. Women with Christ, in Christ, and for Christ are what we are all about in the ladies ministry. I can’t express how honored I am to Pastor such a group of women. Watching them strengthened me this year while I was going through personal trials and I know their Godly influence has made a difference in someone’s life. My prayer for this year is that they continue “to grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and that they remain strong in Him.”
