WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ALLEGHENY VALLEY ASSOCIATION OF CHURCHES?

The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches is composed of 37 congregations representing 12 denominations. It is to provide an agency for cooperation in Christian Education, evangelism, missions, and worship within the communities of Arnold, Brackenridge, East Deer Township, Fawn Township, Frazer Township, Harrison Township, Lower Burrell, New Kensington, Tarentum, Verona, and West Deer Township.

Jesus gave the mandate to help our neighbors in Matthew 25:37-40. The Association started in 1958 and incorporated in 1970 when the churches recognized that we can do much more for our neighbors if we work together.
