“WE
These three words are best remembered in a song by Sister Sledge, from the 1980’s. However, it is also, truly, the way we see and feel about our church congregation and the families that participate in our worship of the Lord, as well as the many activities we presently offer.
Whether it is helping out in the kitchen during a Brunch, delivering collected groceries to a local food pantry, visiting our shut-ins, making shawls for homebound members, playing or singing with our choir, or even just attending the after-service fellowship, everyone finds a niche that works to include them in our family and gives them a strong feeling of belonging to a group of people who are truly “on a mission”!
Visitors and new attendees are treated to an informal, yet informative service that includes sharing joys and concerns, reading the Gospel, together and aloud, singing favorite hymns and hearing a message that is inspiring and yet applicable to everyone’s “everyday life”! You can be comfortable in whatever clothing suits you, you may participate in the service on many different levels or you may simply enjoy spending time with a group of people who care about one another and simply enjoy sharing their beliefs and their faith.
Whatever your motivation for visiting a church, attending a service and even temporarily being a part of our church family, we welcome you and hope that you receive all that you want and need from your visit to Wesley Methodist Church at Belfast.
