UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief, is part of the General Board of Global Ministries.

As a United Methodist Church within the General Conference, DFUMC supports the efforts and ministries of UMCOR, however possible; through prayer, awareness or donations.

HORN OF AFRICA CRISIS

UMCOR is working with partner ACT Alliance, Church World Service, and GlobalMedic in Somalia, Kenya amd Ethiopia, to provide food, clean water, and shelter for those who have been displaced and are living in refugee camps because of drought and hunger in the Horn of Africa.

The drought, considered the worst in 50 years, is affecting 11 to 12 million people.

To make a monetary donation, please place your donation into an envelope marked "UMCOR" and drop it into the offering basket during our worship service. All checks should be made out to DFUMC. We will continue this collection through the month of August.
