A DiffERENT ChURCh We are a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural congregation which enables us to enjoy many unique aspects of worship through both contemporary and traditional worship services. We are located in Garden City, a neighborhood of Monroeville, a suburb of Pittsburgh. Garden City United Methodist Church welcomes participation by all members of the community.
OUR ViSiON To be a source of wholeness and unity for all persons and to the community and nation in overcoming the walls of division between people; To forge an inclusive faith community where the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all are addressed through dynamic worship, diverse programming, and active ministry; To encourage each member to fulfill his or her responsibility of inviting, heating and transforming the lives of others and our community as disciples in the name and service of Jesus Christ; To foster love, joy, peace, honor, and respect; a sense of belonging; and opportunity to grow in fulfillment of faith, and wholeness in life and relationships.
OUR LOGO
The logo which represents our church indicates a spirit-centered congregation (the dove). The various colors represent the different cultures represented and the fact that they are radiating outward indicates our commitment to reach out into the world in mission.
