Trinity United Methodist Church

Clearfield, PA

Scholarships and Loans
There are scholarships and loans available through the church for your children that are planning on attending some type of advanced education.  This may be technical school, college, or nursing school.  Please contact Jean Rupp or Janet Coons for further information.  Letters will be sent to those students identified as eligible.

Memorial Fund
It is wonderful what we have been able to do with the memorial gifts that the church has received.  Most money goes into one account from which the Ad Council can elect specific items the church needs.  The most recent item is the new PowerPoint system which has greatly improved the quality of the projected material during worship.  Most money is pointed toward the main memorial fund, but if you prefer, you can designate other uses for your memorial gifts.  If you would like to make a donation to the memorial fund in memory of a loved one, please contact the church office.  Thank you for remembering family and friends in such as way as to help your church!

Save on Postage and Printing for Trinity
In an effort to continue trimming the overhead costs at Trinity, the Ad Council and Trustees would like to begin sending The Chimes by way of e-mail to as many members as possible.  If you are interested in receiving The Chimes by e-mail, please contact the church office with your email address.
If you DO NOT want to receive the newsletter by e-mail or by post and are willing to read it on the church's website, please let the office know so your name can be deleted from The Chimes mailing list.
Thanks for your help!

Capital Funds Drive
This fund is for future installation of a new roof and heating system.  If you would like to make a donation, please write Trustee's Capital Fund in the memo.  Every little bit helps!  So far we have received $17,460.78 toward our goal of $50,000.

Trinity Cares Lunch Program
Lunch is served every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to Noon.  We are looking for people who are willing to provide a light lunch.  To volunteer, please contact Betsy Love at 765-6180.  If you have any further questions, please contact the church office.

Recycling
Please continue to recycle empty ink cartridges and old cell phones.  The recycling box for these items is in the hallway, near the chapel.  Please note that we cannot recycle cell phone cases or chargers and large ink cartridges are also not recyclable.

Lenten Devotionals Available
The book Living in the Moment by Stephen J. Carter may be obtained on the hallway table at the church.  It is a collection of daily devotions for the season of Lent.
The children will received a Lenten sticker journey with Jesus entitled All Around Jerusalem in the Sunday school classes which they attend.
Youth and college students will either get their study called Texting Through Lent at church or for those away from home in the mail.

Pianos for Sale
Trinity has three very nice Baldwin pianos that we are looking to sell.  We are offering them at a $1,000 payment due before removal from the church, and purchasers are responsible for the moving of the instruments.  These pianos are an exceptional value because this quality piano is selling for around $3,000.  They are not only great for a home, but would be a really nice addition to a facility such as another church or meeting hall.  All interested parties should contact Dick Kendrick at 765-8260.

Flower and Bulletin Sponsors
We are always looking for flower and bulletin sponsors!  You can sponsor the bulletins for $15 and flowers can be arranged on an individual basis.  If you are interested, please contact the church office.

Hospital Visits
If a member of Trinity is in the hospital, please let us know.  You can inform the hospital of your church affiliation and they will contact us.  Also, a family member can contact the church with the information.

Prayer Chain
If you need to put a name on the Trinity Prayer Chain, please contact Betsy Coudriet at 765-6943.  If there is no answer, please leave a message.
