"MY TIME"
This new and innovative mid-week “kid’s” ministry is designed “just for kids”!
We have designed this to be “their time” - their special time during the week where they develop friendships, improve social development and above all, learn Spiritual Life-Skills that will last them for a life-time.
"My Time” is without question a ”fun time” but more importantly, it is the place to bring your child and know that their time is well spent
What happens at “MY TIME” ? One thing that doesn’t occur is boredom !
Each night we begin with highly interactive recreation either in the gym or out of doors. There is always music with a beat — music with real meaning — children’s Christian music that is fun and energetic!
Following the recreational activities, we have “ Large Group—Bible Max ” where with an energetic and fun-filled environment, kids learn about God's Word.
Bible teaching is a key, integral part of our evening. We want the kids to learn about God’s love, plan, protection and about His ever-present reality for them.
Oh yes—don’t forget the snack time and pizza parties, family nights, seasonal events, ice-cream, hot dogs, smores and much more!
Parents — at registration you will receive a schedule of events and of other vital information.
What then is the “special design” for
“MY TIME ?”
The kids all participate in Big Group which is divided into three sections: 1/ Recreation 2/ Music and 3/ Bible Lesson.
Our music (the 2nd part of Big Group) is lively, entertaining and interactive. Gary Smith the music leader is highly skilled and will make our music ( contemporary, country, traditional and rock) come alive with energy and joy!
“ Bible Max ” (Bible Lesson) is the 3rd part of Big Group. It is here that the kids learn Bible verses and how to read and understand God’s Word. Our teaching methods involve music, teaching videos, hands on reinforcement and a variety of stimulating activities. The 4th level of teaching, called “Small Groups” include —
A) Grades K—3 an age-specific ministry called “ Prince And Princess Warriors ” which involves the teaching of the Spiritual Armor that we read about in Ephesians 6.
The concept of “Warriors” has nothing to do with violence of any kind! This particular ministry teaches the children about the Spiritual Armor which is one of God’s gifts to His children.
The purpose for this Spiritual Armor is to enable both children and adults to successfully live the Christian life. “Successful Christian Living” is one of the fundamental goals of My Time.
“Prince & Princess Warriors” includes highly interactive songs, activities and uniquely innovative teaching approaches.
B) Grades 4—6 will participate in a unique program called “God’s Great World”.
This is a Biblically based approach to, yes, believe it or not, simple chemistry, physics and biology! Each night the kids will be involved with at least one if not two different experiments
Additionally, the children will learn how God, the Creator developed all the bases for the scientific studies of chemistry, physics and biology. T hey will learn how God’s Word and scientific principles are not in opposition to one another.
SPECIAL NOTE
For the children’s security, we do require that the parents and or guardians “check” the kids in and out as well as providing us with emergency information, phone and email address etc.
We look forward to the opportunity to teach your children and to help them grow up into fine Christian teenagers.
Parents, you are welcome to attend any “My Time” event, in fact, you are encouraged to come, especially on “family night” and “special event” occasions.
“My Time” will not be held when there is “scheduled, cancelled or early dismissal” from school - R.B. Walter. Parents whose children are from other school districts will be given advance (A.S.A.P.) notice of these scheduled or nonscheduled cancellations.
