SENIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS DINE ON CHINESE CUISINE!

“The Senior High Teen Class enjoyed lunch and fellowship at the Lin Buffet on Sunday, February 3rd. An amazing amount of food, ice cream and donuts were consumed. Linda is grateful to all the teens for giving her a great afternoon. Thanks Linda for your faithfulness to our teens.

Winter takes it’s toll on Sunday School Attendance

Our Sunday School has unfortunately been the victim of the Winter Doldrums over the last couple of months. We have seen the cancellation of Staff Meetings and worst of all the cancellation of our S.S Christmas Program due to the winter weather.

However I continue to praise the Lord for those who have been faithful in their attendance these cold and difficult days. Our attendance has been averaging about 60 for the winter months and our offerings averaging about $30.

GENERAL

OPENING/CENTER COURT

Due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas activities we had our SS General opening in December only and celebrated our November and December Birthdays and Anniversaries at that time, with the most important Birthday, the Birth of our Lord Jesus.

Our January and February Birthdays and Anniversaries will be celebrated at the February General Opening and we will have a Center Court Activity and refreshments that day during the remainder of the SS hour. Our

Center Court
Activity will be “The Heart of the Matter” and we will see the close relationship between the anatomy and function of the physical heart and the heart of the Church. So set the date aside, Feb. 24that 9am, and join us.

HELP WANTED

Substitute Teacher Positions -We have openings for a substitute teacher for the Teen and Midler classes. This is an exciting and challenging ministry opportunity for someone who would like to teach but can not commit on a weekly basis. Qualifications are to be teachable, flexible and have a heart for God’s work in yourself and our young people.

Director’s positions open in the Vacation Bible School Ministry!

We need three (3) individuals who can work well together to direct our 2008 VBS. It is a great opportunity for ministry for those who can only make a short term commitment in the summer. THANK YOU

To Sue D., Judy H, and Cindy K. for many years of directing our VBS. Under your direction we have had many creative and successful weeks of teaching and reaching children of all ages for God  in our community and best of all we a have seen many children come to the Lord through this ministry. May God continue to bless you as you serve Him by focusing your efforts this summer on ministering to our teens. We love you and appreciate you for all you do for our kids in the Name of our Lord, Jesus!

THANK YOU

To George Bird and Mike Losinger who faithfully show up early to make sure there is coffee, tea and hot chocolate for the Sunday School Hour. And to Ward and others who come early to make sure the parking lots are cindered and the sidewalks cleared for Sunday School and Church.

There are many others who also are always willing to step in and help, to many to name them all. But I thank each and every one who helps to keep our Sunday School going.

Come and see what is happening in your Sunday School!

Come and fellowship as you learn more and grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ with other believers. Get excited about studying God’s Word, get excited about Sunday School!
