LET'S PRAY FOR AN ORGAN

About 3 months ago Deacon Gene Ruther said, "We need to pray for an organ."  Having an organ was not on my radar screen but when the deacon says we need to pray then we pray.  A couple of weeks after this I said, "If we are going to pray for an organ then we need to ask God for another accompanist."  So we started praying for both.  Then we started getting offers of organs.  Some we did not pursue and some we did not feel good about.  Others disappeared before we could even take a look at them and one organ that a lady wanted to donate to us she sold the day before I was going to pick it up.  But God knows what He wants and His timing is perfect. 

Calvary Baptist Church in Rapid City was trying to make space and wanted to donate their organ.  We only knew this when they advertized it through email.  Within two hours of their email I was on the line with their staff and asked that they hold it for us to look at.  Pat Martin, my wife, was an organ major in college and organ was her major instrument in seminary.  She took one look at the organ Calvary Baptist Church was wanting to donate and said, "That's the one!" 

The organ was moved to the Joy Community Fellowship on Saturday, April 14th.  On the following Sunday in our evening service we had a new attender God sent to us sitting at the piano.  She was looking for a ministry opportunity.  God's Timing Is PERFECT!!!  God is Good!  Jesus is Wonderful!
