Since 1983, William has also committed a significant amount of time to training Papua New Guineans to translate their own languages. Several New Testaments have been completed by his former students.

CCG's purpose is to strengthen existing churches in Saskatchewan and plant new churches in strategic areas.  CCG is currently developing the Prairieland Project which utilizes the management team (MT) approach to serve as the early leadership before the ministerial team is put in place for the new congregation.  The MT's responsibility will decrease as the church develops - duration 3-7 years depending upon the maturity of the new church plant.
