“Where sin did abound, grace did much more abound!”

41 Club Student Ministries

We are about seeking out the very last one. This ministry seeks to help students and adults alike become committed followers of Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives. Together we live, worship, and serve.

BUT WHY?

So why is our mission statement as such? Why is it that we are out to seek the very last one? 99 “1” Ministry is focused on doing that which Christ did, that Christ calls us all to do. We believe the five purposes of the Church are: Evangelism, Discipleship, Worship, Fellowship, and Ministry. God did not call us to fulfill a few but all of these purposes so that we might live in right relationship w/ God and w/ each other. This ministry makes no claims of originality (purposes derived from Saddleback model) or perfection. We gather together to have fun, to grow, to serve, to worship, and to reach out to others with the truth that has been made known to us. Our focus is on the “1” because that is what God has called us to. We are not called to organize a club to meet our needs but to worship God and that can only be done as we seek to draw nearer to Him. In drawing nearer to God we can’t help but share w/ others the Good News that we know.

“Prayer will make one cease from sin or sin will make one cease from prayer.” -John Bunyan

YEAR-ROUND MINISTRIES

Sunday School: 9:45 a.m. This is a time when we come together with our peers to get deeper into the Word and fellowship together.  It is about discipleship.

Sunday Worship: 10:30 a.m. A time of worship where all of the East Ridge Church of the Nazarene gathers together to participate in praise, prayer, offering, and studying the Word.

OTHER MINISTRIES

The ministries listed to the left are those ministries that occur year round. They are our foundational ministries if you will. However, that is not an all-inclusive list.

Youth Quizzing: This ministry is a wonderful opportunity to memorize the Word. Mind you though this ministry is not for the faint at heart. You’ve got to be quick and have nerves of “icy” steel ( I think the “icy” gives it that extra kick).

Service Opportunities: These are projects that are strongly student-driven.  It is a time for 99 "1" to reach out and help both other members of the Body of Christ and those who don't know Christ as their Savior.  We're all called to serve and not just in distant countries.  We serve first by serving in our own community.

Youth Leadership Team: This is an elected board of students and adults to help to guide and direct the youth ministry. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve your peers.

Ministries are always ready to spring up as they are needed.  This select list doesn't encompass all of what 99 "1" Student Ministry does but it gives direction to what we are about.  As we see needs arise and leaders to answer those needs ministries will begin.

We all need to be reminded.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

This ministry is all about involvement. You don’t have to be extremely talented to get involved nor do you have to be attractive (just look at the youth pastor). If you are a student in grades 6 through 12, or if you are an adult who loves students just start coming. There are no registration fees or anything. Are we going to ask for commitment? Yep! However, this is something you do. We are not going to spoon feed you the Bible or “religion.” What we’re offering here is the chance to be a part of a ministry that is seeking to see hurting lives transformed. We love Christ and so we love life. This is a fun thing to do, trust us. If you would like anymore information on anything that the youth ministry does look at some of the other information offered or call up the youth pastor. We’re here to praise God and part of the way we do that is by serving others (that’s you). Alright, so it seems pretty simple, right? All you’ve got to do to get involved is come check us out. If we can get on the same page, then we’ll be in good shape. But the only way to see what page we’re on is to come check us out. God bless. We’re praying for you!
