Adult Sunday School Class 2

The children, pre-school through 6th grade gather with Mrs. Jane Wingrove each Sunday morning and study biblical characters and stories that are meant to grow the children’s knowledge of those characters and lessons learned from their life. Currently, the children are focusing on a study entitled, “God Chooses A People.” The classes include time for music, games, and activities related to each lesson, as well as an emphasis on prayer.

The youth of the church gather with Rev. Martin for lessons that focus on developing Christian Discipleship. This fall the youth are following a study entitled, “Faith In Motion: Playing Life God’s Way.” Each lesson begins with a group activity and them settles into discussions based on the topic and scripture lesson for the day.

The Prayer Circle Class is also a group of multi-generational adults who use 6 to 8-week studies to guide their discussions. They are now studying a video based program entitled, “The Jesus I Never Knew.” Mrs. Marcia Nanney facilitates the class.

The Solid Rock of Faith Class is a multi-generational group of adults that use literature produced by the United Methodist Church for study and reflection. Currently, they are studying lessons that cover the Gospels, Acts, and the Letters of Paul. A current, or retired United Methodist Bishop has written each lesson. Mr. Barry Ryan is the facilitator for the class.
