The Covenant Relationship with the Fountain of Life Church (former Star of Jacob Church) was formed in 1997. The Fountain of Life Church is located in Amatitan, Nicaragua. The Covenant Relationship is a partnership including the Nicaraguans and the members of First UMC of Lawrenceburg. Visits, communications, prayer and love have strengthened the bond that exists. Our church has helped with the construction of their new church building and with the construction of a new preschool building.

First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceburg sent 4 members of the church to Henderson Settlement, in rural east Tennessee, in March 2009. They helped with the painting and handiwork of a grandmother's trailer, the organization in the opportunity store and some other work that needed done.
