The Cemetery Road

Elmer Cox

1907 - 1995

"I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory"

He was a man of stories; one who took the memories of many generations and made them his own. He spent his young age with the older generations listening to them and their stories and then spent his old age with the younger generations telling them what he had heard. He was a leader in his community and industry, but he led us to return to our past and our ancestors and to remember them and what they believed in. He was our road to our history, and we gladly traveled it with him for many years. So it is very appropriate that after his death he left money for us to build a new road around our cemetery. It is for the use of those who will travel that road to visit and to remember and to the worship and service of God that we remember T. Elmer Cox.
