It is Hip to be Square--SUCCESS!

The Homestead UMC basketball court has become a reality!  Thanks so much to all those who helped and donated time and money to make this happen.  Below, HUMC Youth members try out the new court after church on Sunday. 


HUMC Family Fun Day was Great!

Saturday July 21, 2007 was the HUMC Family Fun Day event at Cumberland Mountain State Park!  Lots of fun, fellowship and food for those who attended!

Taste of Italy 2007!

Below are pictures from the Homestead Methodist Youth's "Taste of Italy" fundraiser held March 17, 2007.  The event raised some $1200 for the youth program.  Thanks to all who helped, ate, donated!


Above: The fellowship hall became an Italian Bistro!

Below: There was some great entertainment and a number of prizes were given away!


March 17th was the Homestead Methodist Youth's "Taste of Italy" dinner fund raiser.  The menu featured Salad, Lasagna, garlic bread and desert.  Great service was provided by the waiters and everyone had a GREAT time!


Family Fun Event--October 2007

The evening included Fun Fall Activities, a cookout and Trunk or Treat!

A Very Special Palm Sunday 2007!


The HUMC Youth Choir shared the message of Hosanna with the congreation on Palm Sunday morning!

Proud parents of Aliana, Heather & Linkous Keen, as Pastor Fay presents a gift of the New Testament.

Sgt. Thomas York committed his life to the Lord and  was baptised into the faith and received as a new member of Homestead United Methodist Church as part of the Palm Sunday Service.   Sgt. York's wife, Casey, is also received as a new member by transfer. Welcome to our church family!

Sgt & Mrs. York present their daughter, Skylar Grace, for baptism as sister Emily and maternal grandparents Larry & Nancy Richards look on.  Paternal grandparents are James & Bernice York.  Maternal great-grandmother is Dorothy Briggs.  God parents are Erric & Kristen Clevenger.  Skylar's big brother Wesley was also looking on.

Mr. & Mrs. Richards took the opportunity to join the fellowship of the Homestead United Methodist Church.  The Richards' join by transfer from Grace  Tabernacle Methodist Church in Binghamton, NY.
