Valley Forge was organized in a log church, which was a Union church, built around 1864, located about one mile south of the present location. In 1922 a new church was built at the present location with sixteen charter members (Methodist Episcopal South). All the Sunday school classes met in the sanctuary until 1936 when three Sunday school rooms were built. In 1952 a fellowship hall was added to the back of the church. It included a kitchen and washrooms. In 1978, ground was broken for the present church building.
