The East Ridge U.P.C. was established in December of 1996, with 14 in attendance our first service. We borrowed our current building the first few months. Within a few months, through the sacrifice of many, we were able to purchase the building. In September of 1997, we had the dedication service with many district officals in attendance. What makes this service special was that Bro. Arnold was released from the hospital that day after suffering with pneumonia all that week. That same year the idea of an annual Bible Conference came about. This conference came about because, Bro. Arnold wanted to do something to be a blessing to the other churches in the area. Through the years we have had some of the biggest names in the United Pentecostal Church minister such as, Wayne Huntley, Mark Foster, Terry Black, and Ron Libby. By 1999, our attendance was up to approx. 75.
By 2000, we were in need of Sunday School space. Plans were put in place to begin construction on a Christian Education Wing that includes a Fellowship Hall with a full service kitchen, 5 classrooms and a restroom on the upper level. There was also a new foyer added on the length of the sanctuary. The foyer includes, new restrooms, a nursery, and a new pastor's office. By January 2001, the construction was completed.
Since the beginning of the church we have seen over 200 people be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. God is currently doing great things among us. We are looking forward into the future, and expecting God to do so much more as were endeavor to reach the lost before He returns for His church.
