The Ministry…

The Daughters of Naomi Ministry is a global ministry founded and birthed under the auspices of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where the Reverend Reginald J. Houston is the Senior Pastor. All legal matters and entity will be governed under the assumed name of the Daughters of Naomi Ministry.

This ministry is designed to cross ALL denominational and ethnic barriers; therefore it is imperative that the Ministry has spiritually guided leadership. The ministry was birthed out of prayer and shall continue to be governed by the Holy Bible through spiritual guidance.

The Name… (Book of Ruth)

The Ministry is named after the leading character whose story is told in the Book of Ruth. Ruth was the great-grandmother of David and an ancestress of Jesus. The story is set in the time of the judges and reflects a temporary time of peace between Israel and Moab. It gives a series of intimate glances into the private lives of members of an Israelite family and presents a delightful account of the remnant of true faith and piety. Redemption is a key concept throughout the book. The word shows how God is working out his plan for salvation. The book of Ruth also illustrates love and devotion – self-giving love that fulfills God’s law, and God’s love in blessing the lives of his children.

The Daughters of Naomi Ministry is a global, fundamental Bible-based Christ-centered ministry, divinely birthed through Bethel A.M.E. Church. This ministry is designed for ALL people regardless of race, culture or religious background. Our mission is to reach the community, and the world through prayer and outreach resources. We seek to provide a haven to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and economical needs of all women. We believe that God is calling women to a new level of honesty and accountability to overcome those things, which keep them bound and blinded to the truth that was meant to set them free.
