Confidence with God begins with understanding Salvation and forgiveness!

God sees your life and all history from a higher and heavenly eternal place above it all. His forgiveness offered at the cross was to place you in Christ- for one time in history to cover all yours sins past, present, and future.  Its really good news for all of us!

Series: “Learning to Walk In Confidence With God”

Pastor Vic Johnson *** Westchester Fellowship, SBC

Confidence with God- is it really possible? It sounds unspiritual – almost presumptuous.

I. Walking Confidently with God is found often in the Scriptures.

2 Cor. 3:4 And such confidence we have through Christ toward God.

2 Cor. 1:12 We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have been honest and sincere in all our dealings. We have depended on God's grace, not on our own earthly wisdom. That is how we have acted toward everyone, and especially toward you.

Ephes. 3:12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

Philip. 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philip. 3:3-4 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, [4] although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: Philip. 3:7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

II. Learning to Walk in Confidence with God is found by learning the terms of Gods Covenant He made to relate to His people.

Ezekiel 36:25-27
"Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. [26] "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. [27] "And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

  2. How can we truly love Him? Is it possible to be His friend?
  3. What is true Holiness with out which no one will see the God
  4. What does it mean when Jesus said “I in you and you in me”?
