How the Coming of Christ can meet Your Deepest Needs at Christmas!
Have you considered what your deepest needs might be? I believe this short list is a good starting point. What if you were enjoying a feeling of the Love of God, and a sense of His Worth , Acceptance with God, Security in God, Significance as one of God's own Children, Meaning and Purpose for Your, Life in A New Identity .
The Prophecy stated: The Lord would send the light – the light would be the life of God among us and we shall have all our needs met in Him- in His life in us.
The Old Testament Prophecy declares it!
Isaiah 9:1-2 [ a ]Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. 2 [b] The people who walk in darkness
will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of deep darkness,[c] a light will shine. Isaiah 49: 3-6 Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting,
“Clear the way through the wilderness
for the L ord !
Make a straight highway through the wasteland
for our God!
4 Fill in the valleys,
and level the mountains and hills.
Straighten the curves,
and smooth out the rough places.
5 Then the glory of the L ord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The L ord has spoken!”[a] 6 He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.” The New Testament fulfills that prophecy in Jesus Christ!!
The New Testament Reveals the Prophecy coming true!!
Matt. 4: 14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: 15 "THE LAND OF ZEBULUN AND THE LAND OF NAPHTALI, BY THE WAY OF THE SEA, BEYOND THE JORDAN, GALILEE OF THE GENTILES-- 16 " THE PEOPLE WHO WERE SITTING IN DARKNESS SAW A GREAT LIGHT,AND THOSE WHO WERE SITTING IN THE LAND AND SHADOW OF DEATH,UPON THEM A LIGHT DAWNED."
John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:14-18, 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. .." 16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him .
What This means for You
You have been given fullness of life from Jesus Christ!
I love the amplified version. It says in John 1:17 - "For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.
Wow- I dare you to lean in and receive of His Life. He has made you made you rich like the man who found oil on his property!! he had no idea how rich He was in Christ life- which is His love, acceptance, forgiveness, security... Christ has made you one of His own children. He remains the treasure in your field- the untapped resource of riches for you to have and enjoy. Most Christians who live life on thier own and offer worship only on Sundays don't get it! But He is rich toward you and an everyday Savior and Friend. Don't you get it? He wants to put His life in you and help you to possess the reality of life- God's life- alive in you and you in Him. He makes you His own son and daughter by coming to Him in salvation! Have you believed on Him yet? If you have - You are as close as family at that point- and He loves you! You are His own son or daughter. Won't you come near regurally and allow Him to speak love, acceptance, security, and significance into your life!! Those indeed are your greatest needs God wants to meet at Christmas!
