We believe in the scandalous grace of God. What do we mean?

1. Grace is outrageously unfair, ridiculously extravagant, and unashamedly the center of the New Testament gospel! It sure beats judgmentalism, legalism, and all the other isms.

2. Grace is based upon the unconditional love of God for undeserving sinful men at the cross.  Rom. 5:8 God has demonstrated His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  He is pursuing a love relationship with us right now and today.

3. Grace is about the once for all, forever forgiveness of our sins by Jesus at the cross.

4. But Grace includes additionally- the added benefits that at salvation you received a new life- The Spirit of Christ, as your source of life- to replace your old life as the source you live from.  The Holy Spirit wants to fill you with Gods resources daily as you invite Him to do so.  Christ became the vine and you are the branch that lives receiving life from Him moment by moment.  He desires that we invite the Spirit to express His vine life now through the branch resulting in fruit on the branch. (John 15; Gal. 5:19-22) All of this life can only be made real by the person of the Holy Spirit.  Receiving of His person, presence, power,  and teaching - openness to His life and work changes you daily.  The question remains- Have you and are you now receiving the Spirit's powerful influence into a experiencial reality?

5. Grace causes us a serious change in our identity- becoming in Christ new creatures- new persons altogether in an instant!  The moment we were saved God birthed us alive spiritually and placed us in Christ - changing our identity - to altogether new creations in Christ- objects of His delight and joy .  In our union with Christ we were crucified with Jesus as sinners, but now raised up with Him -  saints - birthed from above- holy and blameless and re-wired inwardly to desire righteous and holy living. And He did it all the New Testament says.  That is your inheritance in Christ through the transforming work of the Spirit.

6. So now - you can walk in victory- you can walk in abundant life- newness of life - as forgiven holy blameless and empowered saints- in the Holy Spirit' s presence and power. (That is who we are and is just the beginning of  what He has for you as your inheritance.. (Eph. 1.; John 10:10; Ephesians 4-6)

These are truths you can walk in.  Be a Believer and not a Doubter!  Come and hear more about your new life in Christ. John 10:10

What We Believe:  Doctrinal Statement of WESTCHESTER FELLOWSHIP

1.        Verbal Inspiration of the Bible

We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, to be verbally inspired of God in the original manuscripts; infallible, inerrant and God-breathed, a perfect rule of faith and practice.

2.        The Trinity

We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:7).

3.        The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that God, the Son, who has always existed, became a man (without diminishing His deity) by virgin birth through Mary. He lived a sinless life and as the infinite God-Man took upon Himself the sins of all men, died in their place and satisfied God concerning their sins.

We further believe in the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He was then ascended and exalted to the right hand of God as the Great High Priest of all believers.

4.        The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. His present ministry to believers also includes fresh empowering, filling, teaching, and giving gifts to men and leading into all truth.  We believe God wants you to understand and appreciate all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit through His body.  It is the way the Body stays healthy.

5.        Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin, the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved and, of himself, is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

6.        Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace (apart from any works) and received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins. Upon receiving salvation, the person receives eternal life, and becomes a partaker of Christ's life. He becomes a new creation and obtains a new identity as a child of God.

7.        Eternal Security

We believe that all who have come to reliance upon the work of Christ for their salvation will never lose this relationship.

8.        Devil and Demons

We believe that Satan is a person who is aided by a host of evil spirit beings called demons. Their design is to destroy believers, their homes and their churches blinding the lost to the gospel. Every believer is subject to spiritual attack but may be brought to victory through Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.

9.        Sanctification

Each believer partaking of eternal life (Christ's life) was united with Christ and thus was spiritually crucified, buried, raised and enthroned with Christ. The old man died at that point in time. The results of co-crucifixion must become an experiential reality to each believer as he chooses to walk in a new inner spirit as well as the fulness of the Holy Spirit and not after the flesh.  Sanctification, then, is the Spirit of Christ living His life out through the believer. This is not teaching passivity, sinless perfection or the deification of man.
