ABOUT     OUR    PASTOR

Pastor Thomas is a very annointed, caring, and passionate pastor/preacher who has a heart for people and truly believes in bringing people together to effect a real Spirit of togetherness like never before. A Man of God devoted to prayer and one who believes that prayer can,not only, change anything but can change the condition of things.

Pastor Thomas is very active and interested, not only in the Carter Temple Church, but also a great supporter of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church mission and activities.  Pastor Thomas is also a great supporter of other churches, denominations, the community, and the city of Greenville, Texas.

His community involvement includes:

  • 2005-present   Greenville Interdenomination Ministerial Alliance (currently President)     
  • 2006-2008    Served on the Habitat for Humanity Board as Vice-President.                             
  • 2006-present   Greenville Ministerial Fellowship (recently elected and served as the 1st Black President of the "white" fellowship)                  

Pastor Thomas is a community leader who has a love and passion to see the People of God see and feel the love of God.  He also has written (so far) four articles for the Herald Banner's "Minister's Moments", as well as, being active in city government by attending City Counsel meetings and any other that deal with our communities.  He is a published writer.

Pastor Thomas also was appointed for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 conference year as the Co-Chair of the Social Concerns Committee of the Central Texas Annual Conference by our Episcopal Leader, the Right Rev. Bishop Ronald M. Cunningham.  Of which, he is in the process of organizing a focus on "Disaster Preparedness Training" for the churches in the Central Texas Annual Conference,as well as, for other churches (regardless of Denomination) in the city of Greenville and Tyler, Texas. He now serves as the chair of the Social Concerns Committee for 2009-2010, as well as, appointed as a special assistant to the Bishop.

Pastor Thomas remains very humble and thankful to God for what He allows him to do, but also Pastor Thomas is quick to give God all the Praise and the Glory for what HE has done.
