 First Lady, Minister Leonette Brooks-Lewis

Leonette Brooks-Lewis is a native Houstonian born to Mr. Leon and Audrey Brooks on July 9th, the third of six children.  She is the wife of Pastor James E. Lewis;  the mother of four blessed children, Khristy, James Kirtis, J'son and Jante' ; and the grandmother of two, Kennedy and Evan.

People say behind every great man is a great woman, but the Word of God says ... from the rib bone of man God created the Woman (Genesis 2:21,22).  she is a help meet, queen, mother, a good thing, a virtuous woman and the glory of man.  (Genesis 2:18, Proverbs 12:4, 18:22, 31:10 - 31).  This says that she is not just behind the man; she's by his side and all around him.

Leonette is a woman of God who ministers the Word of God along with her husband.  An inspiration to both individuals and congregations, she has been a vessel used by God to change many people's lives.  She has a very active role in making God's work a reality.  Having a passion for children, Leonette works as the director of the Children's Ministry.  She also sings in the Incredible Praise Choir.  Truly, Leonette has a calling on her life.

Having worked with the Southeast Texas Region Minister's Spouses for several years, Leonette is currently serving as vice-president to this special group of women and men.  She is the CEO and Founder of ZAID Christian Academy.  She is a motivational speaker, the CEO and Founder of BL Writers Book Publishing Inc., and the author of several books - Fashioned by God, Wonders of God, and Expression of the Heart.  She has a certificate in Nursing, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administratin and is currently pursuing her second degree in Biblical Counseling.

Together with her husband, their priority is seeking and saving those who are lost and equipping the saints for kingdom building.  The work is not easy, but it is a joy to her soul.
