2003 VBS - The Jesus Expedition
Exploring the Miracles of Jesus 2003 VBS Photos Thank you for allowing your children to attend our VBS this year! We have been planning a long time for this event. Our entire church has been in prayer for this Bible School. There are five sites which your children will be visiting over the course of VBS this year. Each day a VBS participant spends his/her time in one of these sites which has a lesson and Bible verse associated with it. By the end of the week, all five sites will have been visited. These sites, as well as their lessons and Bible verses, are displayed in the column to the right. Again, thank you for allowing your children to spend this week with us at Holy Comforter. We hope that your children enjoy "The Jesus Expedition." Friday What a week! It has been so much fun! Please be sure to check out the photos as they are posted online to see what we have been doing. Also, please remember that you and your family are invited to attend our Sunday, June 15th 10:30 am service when we will share songs we have learned during this week’s VBS. We appreciate you allowing your child to spend time with us this week. Please remember to take a moment to share with your child the take-home sheet printed on the back of each of the parent’s letters. When you do this, it reinforces the concepts your child learned each day. Again, thank you for allowing your child to participate! Have a great and Christ-filled summer! This has been a great week and everyone has had a great time! You and your family are invited to attend our Sunday, June 15th 10:30 am service. The children will share songs that they learned during this week’s VBS. Wednesday We have hit the halfway mark on our VBS week! It has been so much fun! From the stories you parents are sharing with us, we are hearing that your child has had a good time. Here is just one of the statements shared from a child who is attending our VBS. She said, “I wish VBS was every day…Saturdays, Sundays and even on my birthday! Tuesday Wow! We are having so much fun with your adorable children this year! Please note that on the back of each child's take-home that there is information called "The Expedition Continues." This sheet gives the parents an overview of what your child did today. Please review this with your child to reinforce the concepts learned. If you have misplaced the sheet, the lessons of each site are also explained in the column to the right on this webpage. We are certainly looking forward to the rest of our week together! Monday And we're off!!! Your child may ask to bring a daily offering to help support our VBS Missionary. There is no certain amount expected and any amout is needed and greatly appreciated. For the second year, we are sponsoring Esther Miller who is serving in Malawi. This past Spring, Esther came to visit our church to thank the children for their contributions to the children of Malawi. The donations helped buy school and medical supplies. We are so glad to have Esther again as our VBS Missionary. The Vacation Bible School Team
