Evangelism

Matthew 28:18-20...Jesus came to his disciples and said "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to ME.  Therefore, GO and MAKE DISCIPLES of ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to OBEY EVERYTHING I have commanded you. And surely I AM WITH YOU to the very end of the age."

If you are a disciple of Jesus YOU have been commissioned by Jesus to be an Evangelist!  You may not be another Billy Graham and reach the world, but you can reach YOUR world with the gospel (good news) of Jesus!  SPREAD THE WORD...tell your family, friends and neighbors as you go about your normal activities of the day...about the GOOD NEWS of the positive effect following Jesus has had on your life!  Being an Evangelist is NOT "mugging" people with the Bible, but just sharing inspiring experiences with people whom God brings into your life.  When we have such GOOD NEWS we can't keep it to ourselves!  Just inviting someone to church for a worship service or to a church activity may be a turning point in that person's life.  Taking the LIGHT of Christ into a DARK place is what being an Evangelist is all about.  Jesus instructed us in Matthew 5:14 "YOU are the LIGHT of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE MEN..."

The words of God in Genesis say "Be fruitful and multiply!"  In the Spiritual sense of this command, let's all GO, be Spiritually fruitful and multiply the Kingdom...Amen
