Brotherhood of St Andrew 2005 Annual Report
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew meets every first and third Saturday of the month from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. There are twenty-eight members, an increase of 25% for 2005. Meetings consist of fellowship, an order of worship, and a program. The Brotherhood also does activities and outreach to help the parish and the community.
THE BROTHERHOOD PARTICIPATED IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES FOR 2005:
- Hosted the Parish Breakfast every third Sunday of the month (except Father's Day).
- Helped "Set-up and Take-Down" for the IHN families and hosted the Monday night activities including dinner and overnight hosting duties. (Four times in 2005)
- Sponsored the Parish Barbecue Cook-Off. The 2005 Cook-Off had a 40+% increase over 2004.
- Hosted the Lordes of the Street Brotherhood Chapter in downtown Houston in August. This included providing breakfast and participating in their meeting on the second and fourth Saturday of August, 2005.
- Participated in the Diocesan Brotherhood Annual Men's and Boy's Retreat at Camp Allen. This retreat is designed to help young boys with their walk with Christ.
- Sent out Christmas Cards to HCEC families encouraging them to attend Christian Services.
- Helped with "The Hanging of the Greens" for Christmas.
Participated in "Clean-Up" Saturdays at the Church and are also available to help parishioners when needed. The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a very active ministry in parish activities and outreach programs. We welcome other men in the parish to join us.

- Provided scholarships for boys to attend the "Men and Boys Retreat" at Camp Allen
The ministry which began last year called "Brother’s Handymen" is a success. This ministry is a service for Senior Citizens and Handicapped parishioners who need small jobs done around the house and can’t do them. To take advantage of this service, please contact the church office or a Brotherhood member with your need.
The new Director for the Brotherhood for 2005 is Dan Brast.
