Welcome to the Trinity website...

We welcome you in the name of our Lord and Savior to our community on the World Wide Web. Trinity Episcopal Church in Anahuac is the Episcopal Church in Chambers County. We are a small, vibrant and welcoming community seeking and serving Christ in all persons. We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Christ with those we encounter, welcoming the stranger, and being a visible and vital sign in the Chambers County community of God's love.

We worship at 9 a.m. on Sundays in a warm, friendly and informal way and our table is the Lord's table. All are welcome!

Baptism, Confirmation, Reception and Blessing...

The Rt. Rev. Rayford High, Bishop Suffragan of Texas, was on hand Sunday, November 22nd to baptize Kendal Addison Hampton, daughter of Kris and Bo Hampton, sister of Keleigh and Kamryn, and granddaughter of Loy and Frank Garvey. The Bishop also confirmed sisters Monica and Melani Aguilar and received their mom and step-dad Nellie and John Lunsford.

Following the service, the congregation gathered in the parish hall for a reception in honor of the Bishop, Kendal, Monica, Melani, Nellie and John. The congregation then moved to the home of Eleanor and Bob Scherer, which had been nearly destroyed by Hurricane Ike's storm surge. Bishop High moved from room to room with members of the congregation following, asking God's blessing and marking each space with the sign of the cross.

The Bishop then asked a special blessing on Eleanor's new Kawai baby grand piano. Eleanor is a classicaly-trained pianist, music teacher at Anahuac ISD and organist at Anahuac's First United Methodist Church. The new piano replaces her Steinway, which sustained heavy damage in the floodwaters.

Forward Day by Day

Perhaps you’ve seen a copy of Forward Day by Day, the daily devotional published by Forward Movement Publications. Forward Movement actually began as a project of the Episcopal Church, literally, to move the church forward.

Though it now operates independent of the church, it still feeds tens of thousands of Episcopalians with its daily meditations. If you haven’t seen it, don’t have a copy, or left yours at home, you can read each day’s meditation on-line at http://www.forwardmovement.org/
