Welcome to the Trinity website...

We welcome you in the name of our Lord and Savior to our community on the World Wide Web. Trinity Episcopal Church in Anahuac is the Episcopal Church in Chambers County. We are a small, vibrant and welcoming community seeking and serving Christ in all persons. We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Christ with those we encounter, welcoming the stranger, and being a visible and vital sign in the Chambers County community of God's love.

We worship at 9 a.m. on Sundays in a warm, friendly and informal way and our table is the Lord's table. All are welcome!

James and Keleigh appear eager to get the Christmas Eve service underway.

Annual Meeting Scheduled

Trinity Church will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 10 a.m., or immediately following the 9 a.m. worship service. The meeting will include an annual report, the election of two new bishop's committee members and brunch/lunch. All members are encouraged to attend.

Clay and Karla Dean pause for a moment with Ken Dimmick during a reception in Ken's honor during his recent trip from Germany.

Milana Renata Ward is the center of attention at the Christmas Eve reception, as parents and family look on.

John's ordination to the priesthood scheduled for January 19th

The Rt. Rev. Rayford High, Bishop Suffragan, is scheduled to ordain John to the sacred order of priests at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19th. The service will take place in Anahuac's First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the service at the American Legion Hall.

John was raised up as part of the diocese's commitment to provide pastoral and sacramental oversight for smaller congregations. Following his ordination to the priesthood, he will continue to serve as Trinitys' vicar.

John baptizes Sydney Sublette Dec. 23rd.

Christian Education for all ages

The second and fourth Sundays of each month, Trinity will offer Christian Education opportunities for all ages. Pre-K and elementary aged children will meet during the first part of our worship, joining their parents in time for Communion. Middle and high school-aged youth will meet following church in the parish hall, while adults meet in the room adjacent to our worship space. Thank you to all the volunteers who organized and lead this important part of our life together.

Forward Day by Day

Perhaps you’ve seen a copy of Forward Day by Day, the daily devotional published by Forward Movement Publications. Forward Movement actually began as a project of the Episcopal Church, literally, to move the church forward.

Though it now operates independent of the church, it still feeds tens of thousands of Episcopalians with its daily meditations. If you haven’t seen it, don’t have a copy, or left yours at home, you can read each day’s meditation on-line at http://www.forwardmovement.org/
