Confirmation is a critical step in the process that we follow from the time we commit ourselves to a child at baptism. Our prayer is that God will help us establish our kids in faith, hope, and love that supports them throughout their lives.
Faith Lutheran follows a comprehensive program of faith development. This is a very effective adolescent ministry/confirmation system, which uses parent and congregation involvement. Trust and friendships are established within small groups, that stay together for the two years of the confirmation process. The process includes confirmation preparation but also a monthly mission project and social events that serve to link this group of Christian friends. This two-year plan requires confirmands to meet every Wednesday night as they cover material related to the Bible stories, the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, the Apostle's Creed, and the Holy Sacraments. Also covered are the parts of the worship service and their meanings.
Other social events for this age group include lock-ins, several camp weekends with Bible study, and just plain fun! For more information, contact Wendy and Troy Stewart.
